TEMPERATURE SENSORS FOR CAR LIGHTS

During operation, AOZOOM's LED headlights emit heat. However, this amount of heat emitted is very small. AOZOOM's LED headlights convert 90% of the energy consumed into light and only 10% into heat energy. This is why AOZOOM's LED headlights are highly trusted for the optimal efficiency they provide.

However, temperature is always the enemy of any electronic device. Although AOZOOM's LED headlights emit very little heat compared to other technologies, if this heat is not handled gradually, it will still accumulate and weaken the LED elements, causing them to explode and affect the lifespan of the lights.
 
When the temperature rises, it leads to a decrease in voltage across the resistor, thereby limiting the voltage on the device. At the same time, if the power continues to operate at the initial rating, it will cause damage to the LED lights.

Therefore, in addition to the heat sink with fans and heat dissipation designs through the lamp shell, it is necessary to equip the LED headlights with temperature sensors.

The temperature sensor helps to measure the amount of thermal energy generated by the LED lights, then record, monitor and signal changes in temperature to the LED controller. At this point, the LED controller will adjust the operating power of the headlights accordingly, thereby always controlling thermal energy to increase the durability of the LEDs and the longevity of the AOZOOM headlights.

SMART LED DRIVER

The LED driver (also known as the LED power supply or LED controller) is an enclosed power source with a feedback signal that controls the current and working temperature of the LED chip to regulate the voltage and current supplied to the LED light.

The LED driver protects the LED light from voltage or current fluctuations. A small voltage fluctuation can cause a change in the current supplied to the LED light. This maintains the stability of the power and working temperature of the LED and ensures that the light operates within a certain current range for the best luminous efficiency and to ensure the durability of the LED chip.

The LED driver must be constructed to ensure that none of the feedback control components are cut or reduced, and that cost-saving control solutions are not used as they can affect the quality and durability of the system, including the driver and LED chip.

SMART LED DRIVER

AOZOOM uses three types of cooling systems:

  1. ACTIVE COOLING: Uses a fan to circulate air, helping to reduce temperature. The fan has high RPM (rotations per minute) and CFM (airflow rate) ratings.
  2. PASSIVE COOLING: Uses copper metal to dissipate heat. Copper has a thermal conductivity rating of 308 W/m.K.
  3. COOLING INTEGRATED INTO THE DESIGN: The light housing is designed with openings to allow for easy airflow and temperature reduction.
